The governor of Alabama has now signed a bill into law that has a goal of making it easier for businesses to file their taxes.
The governor announced last week that the new law states that the business owners that have business in multiple locations and cities, will no longer have to file tax returns in multiple areas. Now, all sales can be handled with one filing system.
All sales and rental tax returns will be used through a single system also. The Department of Revenue will be administering the system and it will be free for business, counties and cities. The bill was recently passed into law without a dissenting vote.
